Many job, school, government and application portals set a maximum photo size. This tool repeatedly adjusts JPEG quality and, when needed, image dimensions to get close to the target size you enter.
Because image compression works with encoded data, an output cannot always be exactly the same number of bytes as your target. FileFit aims for a practical result close to the requested size.

Are my images uploaded to FileFit?
The image tools in this build process selected files inside your browser. Some pages load JavaScript libraries from third-party CDNs, but FileFit does not run an image-upload server for these tools.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Modern mobile browsers can use these tools, although very large files may use a lot of device memory.
Is it free?
